Our Mission

Enterprise Opera Productions is the fulfillment of a dream.

Founded in 2008 in Providence, Rhode Island, we are a repertory company of thinking singers, actors, and dancers dedicated to presenting glorious productions with minimal sets, simple but well-conceived costuming, and evocative lighting design. Our directors understand that good opera has to be good theater.

Our goal is to thrill you with new productions of familiar works and to introduce you to lesser known and new works. Opera, musicals, theatre, dance, and contemporary works are the basis of our repertoire. We are dedicated to creating beauty and offering performances which will move you.

Enterprise Opera Productions serves: (1) a public anticipating thrilling professional level performances of opera, musicals, theatre, dance, and contemporary works; (2) emerging professional singers, actors, and dancers challenging themselves to perform leading roles; and (3) aspiring young singers seeking their first experiences in an opera house.   Our philosophy follows the great conductor Herbert von Karajan's dictum: To work in a creative profession is a privilege and we have a responsibility to carry out our work so that it brings joy and fulfillment to those who do not have this fortune.
